Snora is built so that most of your data (your alarms, sleep and rhythm records, and Wake Confidence history) lives only on your device. Our servers hold only a minimal anonymous account record (a random account id, your consent history, and non-sensitive product analytics events such as which screens were opened). If you bought Snora Plus, your subscription record is held for us by RevenueCat, our subscription and receipt-validation provider in the United States, tied to that same account id (Privacy Policy, Section 4.1). We never store your name, email, or contact details for an anonymous account, we never receive your card details, and we don't sell your data.
If you subscribe to Snora Plus, cancel first
Deleting your Snora account does not cancel a Snora Plus subscription. Your subscription is billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so we cannot cancel it for you. If you delete your account without cancelling, you may keep being charged.
Cancel with the store first:
- iPhone or iPad: Settings app, then your name, then Subscriptions, then Snora, then Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play app, then your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Snora, then Cancel subscription.
Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Plus until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are handled by the store (see Terms of Service, Section 7). The lifetime purchase is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to cancel.
Delete everything from inside the app (recommended)
This is the fastest and most complete way to delete your account and all of your data.
- Open Snora on your phone.
- Go to Settings (the gear icon on the Today screen).
- Scroll to Account → Delete account & data.
- Confirm Delete everything.
This immediately and permanently removes:
- Your on-device data (alarms, sleep and rhythm records, Wake Confidence history) and all scheduled alarms;
- Your server-side account record and the consent, entitlement, and product analytics data tied to it; and
- Your customer record at RevenueCat, our subscription and receipt-validation provider, including the purchase history it holds for your account. We send that deletion request as part of deleting your account. If it cannot be completed at that moment (for example, RevenueCat is temporarily unreachable), your Snora account is still deleted, and you can email us at contact@snora.app to have the RevenueCat record removed.
This action can't be undone.
What deleting your account does not reach
- Your purchase records at Apple and Google. They took the payment, they issued the receipt, and they keep the order, invoice, and refund history under their own policies and the tax and commerce law that applies to them. We cannot delete those, and neither can RevenueCat. To see or manage them, use your Apple Account or your Google Play order history.
- Your subscription itself. Deleting the account does not cancel it (see the section above). Cancel with the store first, or you may keep being charged.
If you've uninstalled the app or lost your device
Because your sleep and alarm data are stored on the device itself, uninstalling Snora removes that data with it.
The only data that may remain is the minimal anonymous account record described above, and, if you bought Plus, the subscription record held by RevenueCat. Neither is linked to your name or email, so we can only match it to a request if you can still open the app. If you believe you have server-side data you'd like removed and can no longer use the app, email us and we'll help:
Please include the date you last used Snora and your device type. We'll respond within 30 days.
